Time To Grieve

orchidee

You will know

Having experienced any bereavements yourselves

Time needed to grieve

Yet so many things to do, to sort out

Other things may dry up a while -

Poems, hobbies, sports, social life, etc

Many things won't dry up altogether though

Love, care, compassion, humour, singing ......

Amongst many things

It's a process, taking time

Holding to any faith we may have

Large or small

Whether 'feeling' we have faith or not

Whatever level or degree

I'm not so sure about that phantom dog or bag of salted peanuts you keep banging on about but I can't help but agree with everything else contained herein

Grieving is an essential life 'skill' that we need to be trained in and taught at an early age and pass on as we learn the resilience that it affords. Thanks kindly for sharing.

Glad you mentioned KP and Fido that's a good sign. You can't leave out such things at a time like this. Mourning requires a bit of humor to make it through. Wishing you the best

There's a subtle note whispering in the very title aptly conveying what the winsomely and gently effective message declares. However, it's been nearly 4 years since my beloved father passed and I'm not at all "over" the loss, and nearly 9 years since my inimitible mother passed and I'll never be able to fully reconcile myself to living after that. Ergo, I maintain the term which titles this beauty is a subtle note to whom truly know the reality of bereavement. Lovely and beautifully rendered with a soft poignancy and charming notice of grief. Thank you very much for sharing.
