This old barn

Tony36

The musty old Barn

The smell of decay

But

Full of memories

Climbing into the hay loft to throw out hay

Getting kicked by cows

Bottle feeding calves

Tagging and banding calves

Putting cows in the head gate to be doctored

The list of memories could go on and on

The musty old Barn

The smell of decay

But

Full of memories

This is not only very original, but I'm betting it's truly autobiographical too .. Enjoyed muchly and reminded me of Farmer Dodge's old barn, before he got gorged by his own bull and had to have his leg removed .. Farmer Dodge that is, not the bull .. No bull ... Neville

Thank you Nevilie, growing up a farmboy was insane to say the least. Wouldn\'t trade such an upbringing for anything

A lovely poem reminding me of childhood in my grandfather's barn.

Such wonderful imagery and I could smell it too. Nothing more precious than memories 🌹
