Have you?

sorenbarrett

Have you ever touched the rain,
looked an eagle in the eye,
alleviated another's pain,
stopped a baby's cry?

Taken the time to watch the mist roll in,
walked in a cloud,
felt the touch of love's skin,
noticed the texture of a dead man's shroud?

Do you know the scent of pink?
Can you talk to the birds,
taste the flavor of ink
feel the power of words?

All I have done in the dreams I have dreamt. But, not all in life.

Not quite all, no - but enough to know there's a richness out there if I seek it. Well writ, Soren.

Seems I have had some experience in varying degrees of depth and breadth with all the above save for a satisfactory conclusion to the scent of the colour pink!

thanks Cryptic well pink smells like a baby girl, tender flesh, a dawning sky, strawberry wine and pink champagne with just a few other spices. Thanks so much for the read and comment

KP's done it all of course, and with millions of people watching her as usual, enhancing her motto: 'Me, me, me, always and ever'! lol.

Great words soren I have done most of them but do not know the smell of pink. One I have done that may seem strange is walking in a cloud, many years ago my wife and I were walking up a hill in the Yorkshire Dales and walked through a cloud to get to the top of the hill.

I now realise that I have been doing nothing but study and this reminds me to go out and enjoy sometimes. This is one of the best poems I have seen and my friend loved it too. Thank you for such a great poem
