Was I alone on this motorway,
The fog filled the air,
No other cars to be seen,
I could just make out the road
At this slow speed.
Then, out of the gloom,
A light!
Ah! I wasn’t alone,
A light to welcome me,
Into a world where others dwell
I drew closer to this welcoming sight.

I reckon FOG stands for 'Fool On the Go" What possessed you to get out on the road in such conditions? What would we do, Andy if something happened to you and we could not start the day with one of your poems??
Don't worry Dave I am not going yet but thank you for your thoughtful words.

Yes, you are right, Andy, The THOUGHT was there😇LPL - Leg Pull Loudly
Ahh, that was to let you know it was foggy - for folk who've never seen fog before, and don't know what it is! lol.
So true Orchi, many do not know what we knew in the past.

That's kind of like putting the curve in the road sign after the curve isn't it. A fun read Gold.
Thank you soren, yes sometimes the obvious is announced like my sat nav in the car it warns me that there is a traffic jam ahead when I am in it.

I haven’t driven in fog recently, the type where someone has to walk in front of the car with a light in hand. (Shivers)
