Turning to Song?

orchidee

Turning to Song?

I don't seem to be doing much

Not just yet

Caught up in some dry patch

Words not coming to mind

A tuneful outcome not seen

Not knowing what to write

I continue for now

Just commenting

Or some prose pieces occasionally...

  • Comment from author about the poem: We're in a situation here, which is too much to hardly describe. I don't want to do a series of depressive poems though.

I am sure there are a lot of people who are rooting for you & your gang Steven .. Unfortunately, it takes time but am sure you will get there .. And hey, todays reflection aint at all bad in my humble opinion .. Take care, go well and write on when you feel able .. Neville

The words will come back Orchi, but words of reflection on many things can be put down for us to read.

As I know I've been there myself, feeling the urge to write can be an elusive thing. Given time, you'll reach that point and something will hit you with a sack of words that you just have to put it all down in prose. I suspect it will most likely be KP saying she needs more Botox. 😁 Until then, remember to feed Fido.

You can toss whatever stuff you don't like, yet failing to write renders it all the more difficult to return, or so I've found. Losing first my mother (who was my best friend) then my father's house and then my father, yes, I only write when I'm happy, I discovered. Yet to write through the hours keeps something alive which will turn sweeter, methinks. No? Lovely and beautifully expressive with a winsome poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
