Peace does break; with sullied
Lines, wagged by tongues
Awaking crimes; in the
Now; the life is dead, as
Choice galore; is too well fed,
Hallows mocked; as they
Enjoy; every single girl and boy; that
Tread the same mal repetition;
Terrifying competition; where no
Ease can sustain; just the pride; of every pain!

- Comment from author about the poem: Thought I'd write another seasonal one at this Samhain time of year. Of course, when I read this acrostic back, it read more like another one of my "report cards" appraising humanity's performance. Here's one about the counter you use on a spirit board, (Ouija board), of course adorned with some of those candles that are lit in the banner picture above. Also, as you can see, the colours associated with the season, orange and black, are intermittently spread out in the first initials of each line. Happy Samhain, I hope that you enjoy, and as always, please do stay safe everyone

Fascinating and creepy with dreadful undertones in the celebration thus honored herein. Your very reference to that falsely alleged toy dredges up frightening memories of the results. Dare I say as wont, beautifully rendered? Excellently rendered. Thank you for sharing, and for your helpful notes.
