Time of Day or Night

orchidee

What time of day or night

Do you usually type up your poems?

Same time every day?

Daylight or night-time hours?

And every day?

Or 'as and when'?

Maybe have a change

Write - and/or type

A different time of day

If rushed first thing in the day

Wait until afternoon or evening

Or too tired at evening

Then write in the morning

Maybe seeing things differently next day

If 'sleeping on' something

But sleep on a pillow, of course (lol)

Or stay with a daily regular poem

Whatever suits you

Whatever you find best......

We could post 6,483 poems in one go

Or some random high number

All in one posting!

But no one could read them all at once

Or possibly comment all in one go

How are your iambic pentameters these days?

Your Sonnets? Your Haikus? Or whatever!

Write them down when they occur to me no matter the time of day or night. You're right Orchi if you post more than two at once they will not be read. Glad you are writing.

Thanks SB. Unless maybe they are two short poems?

    • Cheeky Missy

Yay! Glad to read you again. I write at unscheduled, odd times when I can find half an opportunity to do so, posting likewise when I can find the time first to type everything up on a draft in my phone, and then when I can find decent space to post here.
Delightfully frank and excellently rendered. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks CM. I thought you were writing non-stop, with those 8,000+ sonnets!

        • Cheeky Missy

Haha, if only. I already gave you the equation.

" We could post 6,483 poems in one go" You are deluded - like 80% of the punters here. You have been at MPS long enough to know that Management only allow one post per day. I've seen this issue raised at least a couple of times in the short period I've been here. Where were you? Buried under 6,483 hymns, no doubt😜

            • orchidee

Well, we could! There are poets who post 2 or 3 short-ish poems some days. It's not 6,843 though, I admit.

              I've been writing
              one poem in
              the morning regularly! ☺️🌞
              Of course I always have
              my mornings cup of coffee!☕
Thanks for sharing my friend!! ☺️
              Best regards ✌️ peace. Thad

Ha! Well, tonight...the answer was at night. And I was pondering, do I publish said poem this late tonight? I did, of course! And then i saw this poem and read it and now I am commenting on a poem that is a reflection on writing poems. Fitting, no? LOL! Great write, my friend!

I normally write when I get up at 6 every morning Orchi but occasionally a thought comes to me at other times of the day and I write.

                    a reflection worth pondering :
muse strikes me at the oddest hours - sometimes in the day, and sometimes in the middle of the night : i just scribble the outline, or two, three lines, and fill up the rest later
