A breath taken, one more tick of the clock
Hangman awaken, one stands at the dock
A spider hung on a strand of steel
Heaven swung on a clapper's peal
From a flask of life a short swig
Old loves ask to dance the Tyburn jig

During which act? 🤣 Hilarious imagery 🌹
Thank you Teddy the death act of course, it's the finale
I'd go out with the Riverdance my legs go crazy when I hear that music 🍀
Good write SB. Theres' the hymn 'Lord of the dance'. It's balanced, not that life is just some escapism of dance at every step - pun intended there! So olde writers speak of 'the dance of life'.
Thanks Orchi yes indeed and as life is a circle so there is a dance of death as well
