Glimpsed

Neville

Glimpsed

Did you, by any chance

See how

Her eyes lit up ..

That same moment she

Spied all

The pretty glass bottles,

Laid out

In rows, across our old

Mantel-shelf ..

Like a rainbow army of

Flickering

Lifelike statues ..

Each one reflecting tiny

Glints,

Slivers and whole chunks

Of light

Refracted ..

Just like, prisms dancing ..

The pairing ot the lighting up of her eyes with the glints from the bottles no accident, Synchronicity Jung felt was a force of equal validity to causation. I ching as valid as probability. What on the surface may seem casual may be causal. Just babeling Neville

Anything bright and shiny has its distinct appeal, even polished chrome and stainless steel.

          Exactly so.
The view from my kitchen window (breakfast) sans palms, sky distant, foreground corrugated roof. Over eight years assembly a carefully curated line of bottles (not one screw top) block the corrugations, while they play patterns through the glass…….. her eyes have yet to light up…might have traded her in if she hadn’t other virtues……

Funny how, when something changes color we all become amazed. Refracted light like in a rainbow or here in your "bottles" can light up someone's eyes. It's a scene well painted by you. I loved " prisms dancing." - Phil A.

What, forsooth, is it about light, glittering, flickering, twinkling in whatever medium, that draws the eye and soul almost with a gasp of excitement? But it forever does. The elusive female observed, breathtaken for a moment in that glance translates into a deeper instance of reflection. Fascinating and intriguing, charming and beautifully rendered with excellent imagery, this tantalizes. Thank you for sharing.

May that little girl’s eyes always sparkle and catch the light in life wherever it is, and may her Grandfather have many opportunities to witness it. Prisms dancing are so beautiful. Refracted light on glass shards always memorable. Such a visual delight Neville.
