Whispers

sorenbarrett

I'm a rustling whisper from the shadows
A dirt mumble, climbing out of the grave
Words blowing through trees, bending weeds
Thoughts written in dream's dark ink
Frozen prints of melting echoes
A black cloak of breath that flees into the nights

I really liked this one. You have definitely mastered rhyme and contemplation bringing your reader through a journey of words that have more inner meaning than they can comprehend. It's like understanding the vastness of the universe in infinite thought and emotion.

Thank you so much for your read of this poem. I suppose that my first inspiration for this was seen a graveyard and listening to the breeze whispering. I then started to think of all the unsaid words of these long past souls.
