I try to respect all in my good life,
Most are good and my world is very fine
So that I can live it without much strife
And be in that place that I will find mine.
Sometimes there are those who don’t really care
And want to argue with all those around,
They cannot see the good in life that’s there
So arguments they have in them abound.
But in my life I don’t argue at all,
As I find apathy helps me get through,
And brings peace and wonder for me to call
In each of the times that I can review.
If some people do not like what they see,
It is not my problem, as this is me.

- Comment from author about the poem: I try to be respectful to all but some people don't seem to appreciate this so I have a philosophy which goes "If you have a problem with me, it is not my problem, it is yours."

Absolutely dearest Andy, do join me in the teapot. 🤣 🫖
Thank you Teddy, I will be there.

this has a very familiar ring to it .. was it re-vamped for Halloween perhaps ..
Quite likely Neville, it was brought on again by Teddy's teapot. LOL

Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
A brilliant philosophy employed by too few that think that they must show the world that they are right and thereby show everyone their most unlikeable side.Wonderfully written Andy
Most kind soren, thank you.

I think I do understand your position (though not necessarily entirely mine) Andy. But if you wish to clarify or emphasise this at some future date, please don't hesitate.
Good luck to you.
Thank you Dave.

Oh my-- and here I foolishly thought that was MY line. La dee. Are all of us poets and poetesses thus, I wonder? Charming and beautifully rendered with haunting poignancy, good rhythm and great imagery. Thank you for sharing.
Much appreciated Missy, thank you.

Apathy appears to be the path of least resistance…. a moderate rate of going forward.
It surely is arqios, thank you.

Thank you for Perry Como. He was one of my mum’s favourite singers back in the 70’s. Your poem offers sound advice Andy. Be yourself, don’t change to suit others. A nice piece of reflection. Have a happy Friday.
Thank you Cassie. I have always liked Perry Como.
