A Few Things Wrong With the World Today

Everyone is far too busy taking fucking selfies, these days

to notice, or have any clue about what is going on in the world  ..

Most are not bothered that folk are still starving and dying

here and there and everywhere and that bombs are still dropping ..

Many seem to think that the world owes them a favour

and a bloody living too, when in truth, generally don’t deserve a thing ..

So many feel hard done by and want to be spoon fed, don’t they

and everyone is a victim and each crave compensation for nothing ..

Some complain about emoji’s that mean absolute zilch then they want

to break something and complain about history and change it ..

Such a selfish mentality prevails I cannot relate to it at all, dear lord

what is the world coming to .. I just hope there’s not another world war ..

It's days - and years - as the human race has always been, humans capable of evil and good. I don't think there are 'the bad old days' nor 'the good old days'. Fido told me that - he said 'Have a day off from slagging off KP!'

Makes a pleasant change hearing that you are doing what you have been told ..

The feeling of entitlement and that the world owes them something bred by the human concept of fairness. Nature's concept of fairness is death that happens to all.

      • Neville

fair enough, true enough nuff said ..

More than several, it would seem mate. And to ask some to snap a pic is to risk them running off with your cam/phone or even more… we’re truly a screwed up bunch.

        • Neville

Tell me about it .. 🐧👍

What happened, Neville? Having a good spew very much on those terms here does it for me sometimes… and briefly makes me feel better, or more true to myself (though with care - you don’t want to be accused of all that “misery and agro” that sometimes gets pinned to me in various forms….)
I just can’t cop too much optimism or distraction which manifests itself as buttercups and daises given the state of the worl……….

Hey don't kid yerself brother, I'm pretty sure I've copped for some of that myself too .. but anyway, I've got loads more things to moan about .. just wait n see ..

              With anticipation....

The inevitable day of dear, dear Self. Why on earth in lamenting this horrendous state of affairs you cull smirks and a fit of giggles from me, I can't guess. Lovely and excellently rendered tribute to the miserable condition of the world, a haunting yet tripping poignancy in tow. Thank you for sharing.

              • Neville

Thanks for coming along for the ride Missy .. Neville

Amen, could be twice as long. Not sure about world war, we humans may erase ourselves in any number of ways before it comes to that. Which, unfortunately, is all too likely. Good work here.

                      • Neville

Praise indeed and I truly thank you for it Dan .. Now I'm off to pray that things change for the better but won't hold my breath .. Regards, Neville
