Such a Waste of Fine Words
While these words
may not be perfect,
they are for you
and for you, alone ..
They were not
randomly plucked
from any old
thesaurus but were
conversely
chosen, with great
care, with
respect and indeed,
so much love
that when I finally
threw them
away I was shocked,
deeply hurt
and surprised they
did not fall
and form a love poem
like I had aways
intended for you darling ..

I never intended my writings to be a love poem for KP in the first place! My pom to here is 'The History of Trouts'. lol.
Have you been on the alter whine again by any chalice?
Oh Neville how many discarded love poems I have written. This speaks right to the heart of it. Some seem too serious some too full of levity and others just plain corny so the floor is littered with paper.
Tis good to know I'm not the only one .. Cheers
Oh man, to be on the other side of that, receiving such pronouncements! Just WOW! Faved and Liked. β€οΈ βοΈ
Many thanks arqios ππ
Love the feeling of profound longing and perhaps a sense of admission that if the words were right then one might have had his dreams fullfilled. Advanced apologies for misinterpretation
You never need to apologise to me .. I appreciate you taking time out to call and leave something behind for me .. Neville
Never (or is that neva?) put it in writing - You never know what some jumped up legal eagle might be able to make of it.
(Why is it that these pieces of yours end up in your blue volumes without commentary, Neville?????)π
............................................... Dunno .. ππ
Go on - you could plaster the front cover with orchi quotes and save a little endnote for me at the back....π
Absolutely ace. Will appeal to EVERY soft hearted woman on the planet. Perfect love poetry Neville. π
Now wouldn't that be a fine thing our Cassie .. Bless you my very dear friend .. ππ·π
KP and trouts aside, hereβs looking at you Orchi, π this is a mighty fine poem, Neville! Seriously, not a waste of words in my book, and I love how βI love youβ is nestled in there without ever saying it. Not sure if this is a current love or a former one, but this poem delivers, my friend! It certainly, regardless of the words, was NOT a waste of time. πΉπ Bravo!
What a thoughtful visit that was Tristan .. Many thank you's my friend .. Neville
"Fine words," like fine wine must struggle to attain their sweetness. Then, the work begins, to sort them out, to refine them, to contain them within a chosen framework and atmosphere. Then, they remain quiet until the correct time for their consumption. I raise my glass to you for this vintage poem. - Phil A.
Bless you brother Phil, thank you so much and I'll drink to that .. Cheers π·
Tongue in cheek and thereby excused for rousing a saucy and sassy smirk in concluding, despite the sentiment being so seemingly dour, shall we say? Nothing like the waste of sich words, the recipient unable to realize until it is far too late how very valuable they were. Charming and beautifully rendered with a touching poignancy and suitably dainty imagery. Thank you for sharing.
Bless you for calling Missy .. ππ
Thank you dear. LOL
Andy
...................... don't mention it ππ
wait, there may still be time - if the recipient does not appreciate such unrequited love, we, at least, are deeply touched by the glorious sentiments expressed. keep it up
Now that's what I call really kind of you NSB .. thanks for cheering me up .. Neville
always welcome, all the best
