Well the day has come,
The day when I can say it,
Say the word I have been avoiding,
Avoiding for eleven months.
So here goes,
The C word is here,
Christmas is coming,
Coming within this month.
Roll on January.

- Comment from author about the poem: For many years Orchidee and I have avoided saying Christmas in any month other than December. The piece of music I have put on hear surprised me, I have all of Johnny Cash's albums but this is not on any of them, I came across it on YouTube.

Good write Gold. Can we say the J word yet for next month?!
Yes we can always say the words January, June and July Orchi.

Cash was in a class of his own - as for Christmas I agree it should be kept in a month of its own as well.
He certainly was Michael, I have read his autobiography and it is fascinating.
Yes Christmas should stay in December.
Have you bought your Easter eggs yet. LOL

I know what you mean, Andy. I avoid saying that word except on the day itself. Thatβs too late to go shopping and shopping is not what itβs about. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you soren, I agree with your cooment.

Who was the first one today? Ah the tree's out and the lights are strung up. The has will gradually be filled each day all the way for 25 days and the tide will begin to roll out again. It's December - Christmas free for all! And Johnny Cash does this song proud.
Thank you arqios, my tree is still in the loft.

The B word and the H word for me. I got a card one year that said "HERE'S CASH FOR CHRISTMAS" Inside, the Man in Black.
Sounds like a fun card Dan, did it have any of his songs in it? LOL
