Glimmer of Frost

arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
Be kind….
…. words don’t rewind

My experience with silver and gold,
Just a sliver, so cold.
Der Winter ist kalt,
Where the wealth of winter glows,
A glimmer of frost,

In a landscape of frozen dreams:

Treasures sparkle under the frost,
Promises turn to ice,
In the heart of cold wealth,
Leaving a touchless beauty,
An allure that chills to the core.

Beautiful and interesting writing .. yet seems sad

    • arqios

Yeah, it does seem that way... a happier one to follow. Thanks kindly πŸ™‚

The thoughts of finding treasure are soon dispelled arqios.

Half the world, half the time is Frozen. This certainly paints a vivid image of the cold.Excellent

As his usual, your wordplay and clever writing has made this poem not only fun to read, but quite poignant. I loved your throwing in a bit of German that I had forgotten since my high school classes.

            • arqios

Some words and sentences are so close to english that they can be impossible to forget. But I get you, Deutsch is mostly a lost language now, to me. Just brings back memories of snowy winters in the Black Forest. Thanks kindly πŸ™‚

A clever poem, it reminds me of the filthy rich of this world, and the frozen hearts they keep in order to maintain their wealth.

              • arqios

Now that's putting it bluntly πŸ™‚ Thanks so much. πŸ˜€

Wishing you warmer climes. A sad and frosty poem, albeit beautifully penned with fine imagery arqios. Reminds me of a poem I wrote some time back. Some men search for silver, others search for gold,

Beauty on a postcard; 'chills to the core' - the reality . Noted that you have elected to settle in warmer climes....
                              A rich read though.

                              • arqios

Many thanks, Teddy. The turkeys aren’t forgotten, they’re simmering in the pot. But for today another offering. Hope it brings equal joy. πŸ™πŸ»
