a moment in between

arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
Be kind….
…. words don’t rewind

In the breath before an answer,

in the space between steps,

there lies the essence of wandering.

No map can trace the heart’s journey,

no compass needle can point true north.

It is the pulse of the unknown

that truly drives the quest—

neither seeking its end,

nor the beginning, but simply to be.

The questions of "why" and "where"

dissolve in the distant horizons

leaving only the hushed tones of "now."

A beautiful description of that time between. When nothing is measured, planned or noticed. Time not lived, another dimension where everything is decided and fate turns the page. Well written my friend

The questions of "why" and "where"

            dissolve in the distant horizons

leaving only the hushed tones of "now."

The end stanza says it all. For all of the questions we have...the whys...the hows...we never seem to "know" the answers...and, perhaps...maybe, just maybe...that is okay. Maybe we have all we need to discover in the current moment...in the now. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderfully wise, my friend! πŸŒΉπŸ‘

            • arqios

And that is the core stanza on which the other stanzas stemmed from. And definitely, I truly want to believe that it is okay. Cheers Tristan πŸ™‚

Me too, my friend! At the very least, I find a home in the journey to wherever the hell (heaven) we are going! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Cheers, mate! 🍻

                  and thought provoking indeed! πŸ€”
                  That moment in-between is
all that counts sounds like,, "now"! 😲
                  Thanks for sharing
                  my pleasure to read!! 😊

Thanks Thad! Glad you got it. Not that you wouldn't have. It's much like not being afraid of jumping off but that lag in between, of getting yourself to take the leap. Or something that could explain it better, lol.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with this work of art at all, indeed .. everything is perfectly all write & that, is an understatement if ever there was in my personal opinion .. from the opening stanza which was a brilliant way to kick off and introduce the whole thing, write through to its polar opposite conclusion .. everything fits with such exact precision .. I suggest this is more than just a little gem .. indeed much more .. πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

'Tis in that moment in between that all is as you wish it to be arqios. Enjoy the moment while it's yours. πŸ˜‰

Yes , Now is so important .
We can look at old photos when young and long for β€˜that’ now. Or Pictures with our Parents now gone. But in this Now there are new Loves.
