IT’S A’CUMMIN

Michael Edwards

IT’S A’CUMMIN

Christmas is coming once again

I’ll keep my mouth shut – I’ll not complain

at least I’m ready and the shopping’s all done

and the sprouts are peeled – every one

I’ve dinged my dong and I’ve jingled my bells

the house is pervaded with Christmas smells

and out of weakness I did concur

to purchase some frankincense and myrrh

I’ve hung some mistletoe over the door

but that’s enough and I’ll do no more

so please don’t ask me to deck my hall

or I’ll deck the lot of you one and all.

Not the best of photos but it'll have to do - I'll do no more!!

My Christmas tree lives in the loft and it is quite comfortable up there so I don't disturb it nowadays Michael.

I had a clear out a while back - If I don't use it I don't need it, If I don't need it I don't keep it. Now got a clutter free house to make it easy on others when I pop my clogs. One of the first things to go was all the Christmas decorations bar just a few bits to satisfy the kids.

All of that and yet it can be over all too soon. I notice annually how we spread out our rubbish so as not to overwhelm the garbo with the remains of the festivities!

The word play in and double entendres are absolutely brilliantly funny my friend! This is a Christmas favorite from this point forward for me! LOL! 😂 🌹👏
