POET’S NOTE: An acrostic Golden Shovel.
For those who know not what this form is, I hope this helps. An acrostic is a poem where the first letter of each line of the poem spells something else out. The Golden Shovel form takes a line from another poem and uses each word of that line as the end word for each line in the new poem. Therefore, if you read down the end words in my poem, you get a message from another poem. To give credit where credit is due, my Golden Shovel line is taken from the Clement Clarke Moore poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas”, more commonly known by its first line, “’Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
This poem is dedicated to all my poet/writer friends across the world that I have the privilege of knowing! I am privileged to be a part of this wonderful community and thankful for each of you. Merry Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate. I value each of you immensely!

I am so grateful for you, for arqios above and countless others (I will not err in attempting to name them all because I would miss someone...so first two of my commenters get named! 🤣). Seriously, though, I truly appreciate you, dear poet, and I am blessed to call you a friend. From the warmest deepest parts of Eastern Pennsylvania (🥶 but ❤️🔥...I know, it does not have the same ring as London or Tuscany 🤣)...but seriously, all the love and warmth I can muster on this -3.33°C morning are being sent right back to you.
