It's Christmas (or A Christmas Haiku)

Tristan Robert Lange

On a tree outside
A woodpecker climbs quickly.
Its Christmas treat found.

Oh so beautiful my dear Tristan. 🌹

            • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you so much my dear Teddy! I am glad that li'l poem and cute little birdie warmed your soul as he did mine (presuming he's a he...not sure what the difference between male and female woodpeckers are, to be honest! LOL!)...anyway, tree fowl gender aside, this little friend was so beautiful I had to write, even though I was planning on taking the day off from writing. Well, that didn't happen AT ALL. This was the start of quite a poetic day and I have Woody here to thank for that! LOL! And the AI picture I generated really did capture what the li'l guy looked like! Thank you, again, Teddy, for your time and feedback. Much appreciated my dear, dear friend! 🙏❤️

Thank you Orchi! Adobe Firefly sometimes gets it just right and...in this case...it did! As for the haiku, thank you so much my friend. Very much appreciated! I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas, over there, parallel-ish from me across the great salt lake! 🙏❤️

Do you say 'y'all in your part of the USA?! lol. I think Thad on here does, or at least he doesn't mind me saying 'y'all'.

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

In the Northeast, where I am from (Eastern PA to be specific in my case), it's not traditionally used; however, it has pretty much become a colloquialism everywhere...though still not too commonly used in the northern parts of the USA. But no one would look at you like you had three heads if you used it! I use it all the time, actually. LOL!

That woodpecker looks ready to go!

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

Oh he certainly was, Mutley! LOL! Thank you so much for reading and commenting, my friend. I hope you had a joyous and blessed Christmas celebration with your family. 🙏❤️
