Evening sky reflects
on the glass lake.
The soldier of a
tree carries on
through the lonesome
night.
If we could only
see the dreams of
the fish,
far from the
frying pan.

I let her go.
Awww! Bless you! 🙏
Thanks.
This is why I am a vegetarian... I have glimpsed the dreams of the beasts and birds from my days on the family farm and my hikes in the hills or just feeding the buntings and chickadees in my back yard. Very thoughtful as usual.
Thank you.
I wonder what they would be and how they would view us, glad it got freedom, enjoyed the read.
Thank you.
You are very welcome
Ah, a fisherman’s whale of a tale!
Thanks.
Welcome TWC 👍🏻
If only Thomas.....
Andy
Thank you.
Good write T.
Thanks
The favorite picture painted in your images makes me feel as though I have been there before. I wonder if fish dream.
Thank you.
Ah if only! Gorgeous poetry 🌹
Thank you, sweet Teddy.
I used to fish, and I only ever killed one. After that one experience, I never killed another. As a vegetarian I no longer fish, but do appreciate people's love for it. That aside, what a wonderful poem that says far more than the amount of words used to express it. Well, done, Thomas. Seriously. This is an easy fave! 🌹👏
Thank you.
We'd probably wish ourselves in those same silvery scales, happily swimming, nearly killing ourselves to reproduce, and after that, I give up. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a teasing poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you.
Wonderful write Thomas. I would have returned it too. I couldn’t kill a living thing. It would play on my conscience.
Thank you, Cassie.
Very good. Maybe it’s better we didn’t know the dreams of fish , we might not like it .
Hope your Christmas was a good one.
Thank you.
that was so nice of you - glad you did
have a wonderful and caring year ahead
