striving to get high
the inner peaks of my heart
descend to great depths

A wonderful Haiku for the New Year. Very nicely constructed
Thank you Soren. Glad it resonated! πβ€οΈ
Senryu it's all about the emotion and you have it all. Beautifully done dear Tristan. πΉ
Thank you, dear Teddy! Ever since I saw you post a Senryu, I fell in love with that form. This is my first of what I am sure will be many! Thank you for the inspiration my dear friend! πβ€οΈ
Do some research that's what I did when I first discovered them, you already have the gift my friend. πΉ π
Aww! Thank you. Indeed. That is how I found the Sestina, Villanelle, and other forms. For the Senryu, you were my research before I researched! π€£ Thanks again, dear friend!
A clever piece and the picture backs up the emotion, Really enjoyed
Thank you Tobani! I am really glad this resonated and that you enjoyed both the poem and the picture. Much appreciated my dear friend! πβ€οΈ
You are very welcome
Nice Tristan; loving the contrasts of heights and depths, pulling as it would in different directions and yet still βunder.β ππ»
Thank you my friend! Indeed! Glad you love the contrast between heights and depths. You time and your analysis are very much appreciated! πβ€οΈ
Just a thought here, all the activity weβve had over poetry these past month has somewhat muted the effects of S.A.D. , just noticed. ππ»
Indeed. I concur! The poetry has been quite therapeutic. \"Somewhat\" is the right word as it is still very much present and I struggle with it...but the poetry (both reading and writing) has been really good and somewhat muted its effects. πβ€οΈ Astute observation, my friend! Thank you for your keen eye and caring heart. π€
No worries. If that monster is quiet and still, in its lair underneath; then for myself all is well. Glad that it isnβt a lonesome journey as well, got each otherβs backs and all. ππ»
Indeed, my friend! And I really appreciate that you know it, get it, and care enough to check. Seriously, I am more moved that I can truly express. I truly value you, my friend. Glad we've got each other's backs! πβ€οΈ

Good write T. I descended to the depths of my brain for some deep thinking - nothing there, as I had already passed my 3 brain cells at surface level. lol.
π I hate when that happens! Glad you resurfaced safely to give me the update! π€£ Daftness aside, my friend, thank you for reading and for your feedback...and for the laughter! Much appreciated! πβ€οΈ
But it becomes corny and boring, if someone laughs at their own jokes too much. But then again - maybe no one else will laugh at their jokes but themselves. lol.
Another little gem Tristan
Thank you so much Michael! Much appreciated! πβ€οΈ
Excellent write Tristan
Thank you Tony! Much appreciated my friend! πβ€οΈ
You're welcome
There is much depth here and a long way to climb. Much contrast, but the point is to keep trying. Beautiful Tristen.
Thank you Cassie! Much appreciated! Super glad it resonated! πβ€οΈ
Good write, Tristan.

Wow .. its as long as its wide and as deep as its broad .. a proper little cracker .. π
in searching for more when do you lose yourself?
Ooh...Great question! See, there you go again, NinjaGirl...all shadow-like, throwing your precisely profound questions like ninja stars! LOL! Okay, I'll stop with that now! π€£ Seriously, though, I've missed you in the short time you've been away! And this is a great question. One that I do not have the answer too. So far, I have not found the searching to do that; however, is there a point where one goes to far in searching? My guess, as with anything else, is yes. At what point does ones search stop being soul-searching and simply a searching for more that cannot be satiated. I don't know...but the question is begged. This is the stuff that philosophy is built on my friend! Love it! Thank you for this question...seriously. Will be up late pondering this!...getting "lost" in it even! π€£πβ€οΈ
ive missed myself in the short time ive been away! dont get too lost--you might lose yourself...
Welcome back, my friend! β€οΈπ
