Fido's trying to understand the strange ways of humans

Though I tell him

'You may as well give up, Fido

You won't get anywhere

Or at least not very far in trying to understand

Though then again

Maybe, you a reading, talking dog

Will understand more than us

Cos I know that you know 99%

Of all there is to know!'

 

Fido is trying to understand the scenario

At the start of a year -' Happy New Year', humans say

But at the end of the year - 'Good riddance to it

Next year should be better', humans say

And so it goes on year after year. Doh!

 

And he tells me

'I wish you would stop watering

That artificial Christmas tree still'

'And what's that bit of French they sing?' asks Fido

'Auld Lang Summat or other' (heehee)

But then again, he knows about 4,683 languages!

 

And he asks me

'Why on earth did you marry an old trout?'

'Marrying one of my bones would have been better'

 

So he concludes:

'There's nowt so queer as folk!'

      In your inimitable way you have captured the folly of humankind. No wonder Fido, being of that superior species that only knows love and steadfastness, cannot comprehend what we are all about. We could all take a lesson from him. Thank you Orchi, you come through once again!!

          I too am perplexed by humans as if a needleless tree is not good enough now they have valentines trees with heart ornaments, easter trees with eggs Just put up the tree and put a sheet over it until the next holiday. Tell Fido that if he thinks of money, greed, lust, gluttony, avahis, pride, sloth, hate and foolishness he will understand humans

              Fido has much wisdom. People can at times be perplexing no doubt about that Orchi. A good way to sum it up.

                Thanks C. It would be a fab year, but I married KP, so it goes from bad to worse. or does it? I hardly see her in person anyway - mainly on TV, in papers, magazines, films, everywhere else. Doh! lol. I saw her on a TV show first thing one morning. That ruined my day. lol.
