The Sermon on the Hill.

David Wakeling

Brethren I say unto thee,
Exalted are the thieves for they do not suffer poverty.
Exalted are the liars for they do not worship the truth,
that no-one understands.
Exalted are the Women for they have suffered enough.
Exalted are the children cared for by Women.

Brethren I say unto thee,
Sacred are those that practise euthanasia,
For it is a true example of God’s mercy.
Sacred are those who have an Abortion,
For God does not want unwanted babies.
Sacred are those that practise the death penalty,
For they shall do God’s work for him.

Brethren I say unto thee,
Adored shall be the War makers for they will not
tolerate poverty and overcrowding.
Adored shall be the Secret Keepers for they
shall not hurt others by sharing.
Adored shall be the Murderers for they were not
given feelings of guilt.

Imagine a world where this juxtaposition of what we know was ubiquitous. Once again my friend you have unearthed unique processes of reason within my stodgy pillars of conformity it says so much. And it’s commentary is acerbically brilliant

Reminiscent of Mark Twains war prayer this work shines with sarcasm and in its irony highlights the disparity between two polar views on moral issues. It is in the absurd that we can often see the truth. A poignant write

Thank you so much. The truth can be just another lie.

I am assuming and hoping this is written with a large dose of sarcasm regarding the different morale high grounds that people take and use, to justify their actions, Interesting read

I think this sermon can be taken a few different ways. I actually believe it all because the human race is a mess

Erm, I was blessed cos I helped to save some air on the planet. I didn't breathe for 24 hours one day. I did it, but didn't feel well afterwards - Eh?! lol.

            • David Wakeling

Blessed are the air savers for they shall inherit the Air. Thanks for reading

As mirrors in circuses and fun houses, the refraction here is akin to political satire but leaning on the moral-ethical-spiritual realm. Good show DWa. Where have you had this tucked away!?

A magician never explains his tricks. Thanks for your insight. Always appreciated

And I wouldn't want to unveil the mysteries of "the reveal!"

Very good words David, the promise of peace in the world is a very long time in coming.
