Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in responses. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon said, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

Last New Year,
I made all these resolutions,
I wanted to lose weight,
to exercise regularly,
to cook from fresh,
to learn a language,
to play my ukulele
and my guitar
for an hour a day,
to write more stories,
to read more poetry,
to stop trying so hard
with people,
to stop with the bad,
dad-jokes,
to get more fresh air,
go for more walks,
to read a novel a month,
and keep a list.
This New Year,
I have only one resolution.
I want to be easier on myself.

Love it sceptics for the dad jokes which I don’t do often to start with and the fact that it’s one of the few things that make me, dad! Wasn’t that a Dione Warwick song about making it easy on the self?
Thanks a lot for your comments, really appreciated. My dad and I both love the bad jokes too. As you say, it's part of being a dad. 🙂
👍🏻
Good write T.
Thanks, Orchi. Appreciated.
Now that should be achievable, enjoyed the read.
Thanks for your comments, really appreciated.
You are very welcome
Excellent write Tom
Thanks Tony, appreciated.
You're welcome
It's funny, now you raise the issue which is such a classic its virtually irresistible, I have avoided joining the annual ritual excepting once or twice, possibly because, come to think of it... I'm daily, hourly and weekly making resolutions. Failing too, at fulfillment. But enough of that. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delightfully haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot, Missy. Really appreciate your comments. Yeah, I beat myself up for things, but when I look back I was actually doing okay.
Superb work, my friend. I made a lot of them. lol
Thanks as always for your comments, brother. Really appreciated.
Just relax and be happy Tom.

Thanks, Andy. Yeah, that's my resolution for this year. Cheers.
I bought a ‘Sweater’ the other day, but found out it was full of ‘Static-Electricity’. Took it back to the Shop and got one ‘Free of Charge’. What’s wrong with ‘Dad Jokes’?
Very good, Kevin! 🙂
Nice One Tom, Take It Easy Man
