We stand at the shore's edge, gazing at the sea.
The horizon stretches before us, unhindered.
Your eyes hold the wisdom of the tides.
Your words bring the calm where truth resides.
The ocean's song provides a gentle lull.
In its waves, our bond grows ever strong.
We speak of dreams, of hopes, and fears,
Remembering incandescence of boundless years.
As the sun sets on that distant line,
I recognise you near as a precious gift.
In every wave, I see your strength,
Awash in the light of a newly born star.

I been reading, even in times of old, about conservations, royal forests, etc, and environmental concerns even then, e.g. 1700's onwards.

Although on the surface this appears and well could be a beautiful love poem but I feel greater depth in the nature references and how nature itself is the love. Just my take on this beautifully worded proclamation of love to whomever it is directed.

I thought of my mother, her ashes scattered in the sea where she enjoyed many a beautiful sunrise and sunset with my father before he passed. A lovely poem arqios.
