A slithering fog with cottony stealth envelopes the sleeping trees constricting the forest in its undulating misty grasp.
It swallows colors covering fragrances in a shed scale vapor of dewdrop trails.
Engorged and satiated it crawls up the mountainside to sleep until awakened by the hunger of another day.

Wonderfully described sorenbarrett. You brought this mist to life with its movement and blotting out of the landscape. Done in such a creeping manner, it can take us by surprise.

Beautifully done dear sorrenbarret, now I'm thinking out loud this just has to be the landscape of Brazil right? I've been to Florida not such picturesque as Brazil π€£

Canβt help but entertain a notion that this is more than just a poetic description of a mist. It is smooth, subtle and very atmospheric. ππ»ππ»π
Perceptive, everything that meets the eye is not what it appears. Thanks for the read and comment

The mist not only comes to life in your rich imagery, Soren, the shape of the poem actually looks, at least to me, like a mist settling in. Really enjoyed this. Well done, my friend! πΉπ An easy fave for me.
