Lady warrior

Tony36

She is one of the few women to join our ranks

Of Knights fighting for our king

She has proven herself time and again

She is just as deadly as any man

The daughter of the king himself

At first he denied

But seeing the warrior spirit in her heart

He relinquished and let her in

On the battlefield

She has proven to be one of the best

The warrior spirit from her mom's side

A heart of fire in her breast

Any man who tries to cross her

Learns a lesson they won't forget

She's swift with a sword

Some men have ended up dead

A poem of a female warrior. There are many and not on the battlefield of war but in our schools, work places, government, and homes

Female warriors know determination and strength. I would never second guess them.

A shieldmaiden...well, if she be a Viking! Well done, Tony!

There are many but I will always think of Boudicca Queen of the Iceni who was the first I learned about. Well penned Tony.
