Teddy.15

I may not be your cup of tea
but, that's just fine
maybe I'm just too hot?
boiling on your tongue?
or too sweet?
not sweet enough?
perhaps too strong for your taste buds?
too cold?
too weak?
or if instead of milk which you may prefer
I'm full of lemons
you see, I decide my own consistency
not you
so if you don't want me
don't like me
just put me down
and move on to your next mug
because...
whether, I’m wrapped in porcelain or not
I’m happy with me.

Clever use of words in this Teddy. A most fun read

    • Teddy.15

Ah, my dearest sorrenbarret, I've been editing and this one is one I especially enjoyed writing, very British, I found some inspiration and I went with it, I'm so glad you have come back to read my small edit, I suspect I'll be adding more to this. But for now enjoy the taste ๐ŸŒน

Also tequila my friend. I'm challenging you to write one about tequila are you up for it? ๐ŸŒน

Give me a few days, it would be best written if I had some and won't be going there for a few days

            • Teddy.15

I will wait patiently my dear friend, just trying to brighten up our day but I'm thrilled you have taken the challenge chin, chin until then.... ๐Ÿคฃ

We all need to read something like this and we all need to write it too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We are who makes us no one else. โค๏ธ

You are my cup of tea, sweet Teddy. Great work, just right.

Awe, and you are mine dear sweet Thomas. ๐ŸŒน

Dear Teddy, this is both a fun and clever write. A fabulous metaphor. Made me smile. Being very English, I love my cuppa tea. (donโ€™t drink coffee). I like the different varieties, can add milk and I donโ€™t mind a slice of lemon now and again either. As to your final line, absolutely right. As long as you are happy with you, thatโ€™s all that matters. S*d, the naysayers๐Ÿ˜‚. Have a beautiful evening my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿซ–๐Ÿ’œ

Dear Teddy, I am useless at challenges. My muse is lazy and pernickety and she certainly wouldnโ€™t want to write about me. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Have a beautiful Friday ๐ŸŒน

                        lol ๐Ÿคฃ fair enough ๐ŸŒน

Fine words Teddy, I drink more tea than anything else, I like Kenya tea in the morning and in the afternoon I drink Lapsang Souchon or Ceylon Orange Pekoe.

I was ruthlessly taught never to let the water boil but extract the kettle the moment just before the boiling ensues.. still brisk and bubbly hot to burn. ๐Ÿซ–

lol a great self description dear arqios, thank you dear poet. โ˜• ๐Ÿ’™
