New Joy To The Choir.

Goldfinch60

Back to the choir after Christmas,

Into the third week we went

But this was different,

New people had started,

Started in this return of the choir,

Return of the choir in the New Year.

We had a new Music Director

And a new pianist,

What a difference they have made!

All the choir are happy,

They enjoy their singing much more.

So much enthusiasm to be seen

As these two wonderful musicians

Bring more joy and wonder,

More joy and wonder to us.

With them at the helm

The choir will move on,

Move on to a better place,

A better place in their music

And in their performances.

So I give thanks,

Thanks and appreciation

To these two new people,

Bringing so much more joy,

More joy and happiness

To all in our choir.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Our previous Music Director left the choir and took the pianist with him, we now have two new people, they are terrific and will take the choir to a better place. The music on the video is one of the pieces we are singing. I am a founder member of the choir which has been going for 15 years this year

Evolving into an even better choir, maybe use handcuffs this time at least for the pianist 🀣 🌹

    • Goldfinch60

Thank you Teddy, we won't need any handcuffs he is enjoying himself too much.

Keep singing Andy - I've just run my first workshop of the year and the pleasure it gives not only to me but to those attending is so uplifting.

        • Goldfinch60

I certainly will Michael. Being with others enjoying what you like doing is wonderful.

Yes, a church choir 'recruited' some extra temporary members for Christmas and Easter. Maybe some of them stayed on permanently.

          • Goldfinch60

We did the same at our Church but the Church choir is not reforming and I have tried to get it back but it hasn't happened.
