When Dressed to Kill
She was quite unique
and in her
own way, stood out
from the crowd,
like the front bonnet
of a metallic
British Racing Green
Alfa Romeo ..
In fact, it was whilst
she was still
firing blindly like that,
from the hip
and on all cylinders ..
Like some
manic assassin,
in tears, tiara and her
torn matching
green silk party dress ..
That I just so
happened, to catch
sight of all
the charcoal black
mascara
smeared unladylike,
across each
of her flushed cheeks ..
As she began
to pick over those
numerous,
anonymous human
remains laying
still and face down,
in such
hideous and very
long rows
piled high in deep
uncaring gutters ..
And when
precisely it dawned
on me in
a world of back
on back
uncertainties, I was
sure if looks
could kill, then she
would have
clearly made one hell
of a serial killer ..

Quite a picture painted here of a fem fatale. This has a noir feel to it as well and is alluring but in a smoky cautious way. The picture is well painted indeed and sticks in the mind. I think I have seen her before.
Ha you got it .. I heard only last week that she had got divorced yet again .. having left a long trail of casualties behind her .. I count my blessings for a very lucky escape .. but as I hope you can see .. I bare no grudges .. Neville
Oh but there are creatures such as these, they do exist, and your poem attests to the fact!
This one was most definitely real & not a figment of imagination .. indeed it was my hearing she had just got divorced again for the 5th or 6th time, you know how things get distorted, that served as the inspiration for this particular little scribble .. I have oft thought myself lucky to have had such a narrow escape ..
The female comes in many guises and i feel many men have encountered one of this nature, enjoyed the read
this one didn't try to hide or camouflage herself .. and although pretty much a one off I think it says a lot about those of us with a Y chromosome 😉👍
Have a great weekend
Ooh....dangerous! The kind of person you desire, but then, if you get what you longed for, you wish you never had! Well done, my friend! 🌹👏
Exactly as it was .. I still get a deep sense of satisfaction that I was able to get out of something that could have been very tricky .. and expensive and and .. well you know ..
Yes...indeed...I do! Bravo on the poem and the lucky escape!
A sad commentary on what sounds like a true narcissist. They can be superficially charming, but deadly, and you capture this in brilliant imagery. So well done!
I can certainly vouch for the accuracy of your encouraging comment Bella .. many thanks for every single word of it .. Neville
Is this about KP?! lol.
Nut on your nellie 🐭
Why you hereby culled Intorable Cruelty immediately to mind I'll never know since the heroine is in a red number in that flick whence I mulled Pussy Galore's wishes and denouement by 007 as his manhood proved greater, and then I had to give up.
Excellently rendered with gorgeous imagery and a tantalizing, mysterious poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers Missy .. you know what they say don't you .. You can beat an egg but you can't beat Pussy Galore .. 😉👍
You just cannot trust the looks o some people Neville.
