A life we write, the print dim and bright on pages of time
Each day a leaf, joy or grief, chapters both sad and sublime
Some prefer to drink, dark dried thoughts of ink remorsefully refined
Some drink, the bright white spaces behind until they become blind
With nothing to gain would you choose pain or contented glee
Of pages read through, which you open is up to you, choose carefully

Wow, that's all I'm saying, utter beauty in your pages that will always be read. 🌹 Exquisite poetry dearest sorrenbarret 🌹
Thanks so much Teddy I as always appreciate your reads and kind words of encouragement and today is no exception. Have a wonderful day
Hey Soren! I do like the power of choice and its impact on our lives. Just as in a book, each page represents a different experience, emotion, or decision. By carefully choosing which pages to read—or in this metaphor, which actions to take and which paths to follow—we have the ability to shape our journey and influence the overall narrative of our lives. Something that I have historically not been very goo at. Pick wisely! Wisely pick. Pick. Wisely. (note to self, N.B.)
Cryptic it always amazes me that with that power of choice there are as many as there are that choose misery over happieness, bad memories over good and thereby hate over love. I ask myself are people really masochists? Thanks so much for the read and comment my friend
You are welcome Soren. Masochists, yes, something to reflect on 👍🙏🏻🕊️
Good write SB.
Thank you very much Orchi
This resonates with me as someone who is quite adept at making the wrong choices in life, even though some of them i thought were the right choices. Enjoyed the read and the message it gives.
Thanks Tobani for your read and comments they are always highly anticipated and valued.

Exquisite!
Thank you so much Salvia for the encouragement
Love this metaphor! This poem reads almost as a sort of Knight in the cavern of chalices where only one is the Holy Grail and one must pick and choose carefully! (Thank you Indiana Jones). But this, truthfully, more profound because it deals with our life and the choices that can come to define it. Well done! 🌹👏
Indeed it is so with many things and I can not understand why some persist in retrieving only sad memories and forget the good. Thanks so much for the read and kind words of understanding
Indeed. You are welcome, my friend! ❤️🙏
Great write sorenbarrett. Variety is the spice of life. A little of everything, not a diet of too much much happy or too much sad, that is what works best for me. Enjoyed very much your lines.
Thank you so much Cassie for the read and comment. Ballance is the key.
