bridge is out

arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
πŸ•Š πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

In the shadow that our hearts cast,
hatred blooms, a stubborn weed
where once grew a garden of trust.

Words, once tender,
shatter like glass,
a bridge collapsing under weight,
echoes of apologies
falling into silent abyss.

We deceive ourselves,
clutching memories like
fragments of a broken mirror,
forgetting the faces we wore,
the warmth that once held us close,
burying the past
in shallow graves.

A vast network unfurls,
a circuitry of disconnection,
new bridges rise on the horizon,
but the arteries lie severed,
thoroughfares overgrown,
forgotten paths leading nowhere.

We navigate this labyrinth,
the ghosts of what was,
whispering in the dark,
sagely reminding us
that healing is a slow tide,
and that some wounds
will never truly mend.

ABBA!!!! Oh, I love them! Quintessentially perfect for this painfully eloquent number, where love is in the entire affair, I wonder since that's the only glue which holds. [Keeping it playing on repeat...] Exquisite and rendered superbly with perfect imagery and a bitter poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing.

I can understand this arqios but it is harder when your loved one dies as my wife did five years ago.

Breaking up isn`t easy, breaking up in the right way is even harder either way memories take a long time to fade. A lovely read.

Sadly I believe every relationship must fail. Its a law of physics called entropy. This a thoughtful poem linking many of the emotions involved in breaking up.Well done

Oh yes, that’s how it is and yet the emotions are at times untrainable as the mind. This sadness is shared πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ•ŠπŸ™πŸ»

This poem sings in a haunting dark fog. It is well worded and conveys well the message of past pain and hurt of burnt bridges and lost relationships. It offers little hope but the consolation that others too have walked this path. I deserves a fave

A superbly written piece dear arqios

                    We deceive ourselves,
                    clutching memories like
                    fragments of a broken mirror,
                    forgetting the faces we wore,
the warmth that once held us close,
                    burying the past
                    in shallow graves.

Isn't it truly a tragedy when two people feel there is nothing left to say or do. Absolutely heartfelt my friend. 🌹

Well penned arqios, sadly it is a part of life. But not all relationships follow this path, some follow a path lined with roses along the way. 🌹
