arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
πŸ•Š πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

Forget
the balm of barometric exuberance.
This night
no longer young, dissipates.

Recall
the dewy welcome of sun-quaffed green.
Yesterdays
revive severed umbilical dreams.

Peruse
the present with fleeting acumen.
Today
ceases yet emerges again tomorrow.

Ignite
the kindling of autumnal reticence.
Perhaps
genial kindnesses shall spring.

I 'ignited'. I lit a match while leaving the gas on. Doh!

Love this poem's innovation. I have thought of trying something similar but have gotten caught up in the technicalities complications. Maybe someday I'll work it out. Here the use of the single word serves as an echo that comes back again and again reverberating a message sent. Lovely work my friend

        • arqios

That echo makes for both a literary and a thinking device. πŸ™πŸ» thank you Soren πŸ•ŠοΈ

Very much admire the structure of this poem, but the message is far more important. Kindness counts. Fine writing arqios.
