Notice of absence from arqios

Beneath the Nightingale’s Call
In the quiet spaces of her mind,
whispers stir, hidden beneath the surface,
Philomela’s muted cries transformed
a subtle but insistent call.
Philomela's essence, submerged,
finds expression in the unseen,
a realm where thoughts blend with shadows,
and truth reveals itself in dark scenes.
The nightingale's song emerges,
not merely a melody of freedom,
but a current carrying her essence
beyond what’s often barely audible.

The story of her in Ovid a sad one and ironically it is only the male Nightingale that sings. Here revenge a brutal one serving the son cooked for the man to eat. Quite the tale of lust and revenge nicely portrayed in this poem it rings through the years in the song of the Nightingale. Masterfully done and deserving of a fave
