Notice of absence from arqios

At its very heart, Melbourne city breathes:
an undulating vibrant tapestry of life and colour,
from the bustling markets of Queen Vic to the quiet lanes of Fitzroy.
Trams rattle through the streets, a symphony of motion and sound,
while the aroma of fresh coffee mingles with the scent of eucalyptus.
In Federation Square, we gather, a mosaic of cultures and stories;
each face a part of the city's soul, each voice a note in its melody.
The Yarra River winds through it all, a silver thread in the urban quilt,
connecting past and present, of both nature and man-made wonder.

A fine write A.
Thanks O ππ»ποΈ
A beautiful write of wonderful images woven into a description of a place I have never been but now feel I have and stitched so nicely with the silver thread of river and words holding not only nature and man's accomplishments together but transcending space pulling me to a place far away. Loved it.
Thanks Soren. I wish Iβd written more about the cities Iβve been too. ππ»ποΈ

Hi Melbourne!
Its your old enemy, Sydney
Shut your cakehole
And listen to me
Your coffee's crap
And an Opera House
You lack
Anymore of this nonsense
And I'll give you a slap!
Nice one β¦. Iβm a proper Sydneyite or was until we moved up north. ππ»π

Demolition of large parts of what was a pristine Victorian city during and around the sixties was a tragedy. Should have been preserved in aspic. Still, seems there may be enough left to please.......
All in the name of progress (sic) π€π°π²
Nice piece of workππΌ

Wonderful descriptive Poem.
Love to go there or anywhere in OZ.
Letβs be hoping the economy and stability of international relations improves!
Tell me I wasn't naughty to feel I'd been there thanks to you and this exquisite translation of life where I'll probably never truly taste it, yet believe I have, because of this. Deliciously rendered with excellent imagery and a sweetly haunting poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing your expertise. I love it.
