All loss

sorenbarrett

Loneliness something you can only enjoy alone
Aging bone, recognized only after time passes
Through pain's glasses that only you have known
Solitary death shown, tucked alone beneath grasses

Rootless, with the cold wind blown
Sown on waves that dissolve into the vast sea
Free with no anchors dropped or thrown
On my own no charity or condescending pity

Well aren't you a bundle of joy this valentine's ? 🤣 My dear sorrenbarret I felt every last pain and solitude I love being alone but that's when i choose, so your poems hits hard that some don't have a choice for many reasons and helplessness and hopelessness I know very well. 🌹 Beautiful captured as always. 🌹

All loss and no gain, makes for one helluva lot of pain .. and likewise, Jack a dull, or very dead boy .. p.s. no Jacks were harmed during the typing .. and very impressive it was too sorenbarrett 😎👍

Thanks Neville so true, the Janis face of Valentines day if your would. I don't know why it is always me that has to represent the dark side. Glad no Jacks were harmed I'll be needing them for a round of poker later on. Appreciate the read and have a wonderful day.

That's life it can be hard work being alone and getting old. Clever rhyming in the middle of the line.I think Sylvia Plath experimented with that style.Well done
