Sigh of a storm

sorenbarrett

In the calm of a hurricane's eye
Fly birds in a tranquil sky
Lie of pending winds yet to come
Numb to the beat of the approaching drum

A rainbow on the back of a fly
Cry of a baby, turned into a sigh
Die, as a shadow melts with the sun
Done, life's passage, new one begun

That’s such a scary thing to me, being in the eye of the storm, it’s like waiting to be fish slapped from both directions, certain of uncertainty! 🙏🏻🕊

      • sorenbarrett

Yes not only the calm before the storm but the calm after the storm awaiting certain winds to come. Thanks so much for the read and comment my friend.

I read several of your poems.
Words are chosen and set like artisans decorate their clay pots. With patience and oassion.
I like descriptions of the nature.
Someone who observe the nature with passion can send a message to readers and place the moment of nature play into their minds.
                                    That is a gift
Thanks for sharing your poems and thank you for the comments you give on my poems.

You are too kind my friend and your words are always appreciated and they mean a great deal. Nature is my mother since the death of my earthly one. It is my true love and my god always around me.
