I am metaphor
I am the gentle ocean on a pretty day
when there's little wind
making my way slowly onto shore
like a secret, just about to be told
I am the river
gushing down stream
sprouting out from the sides
onto the path of the walkers
I'm the flow of the waterfall
falling fast down from the rock
on a sunny day I sparkle
on a cloudy day I am drizzle
I'm the wind pushing up the kite
I am the soft snow floating down
in silence
from succulent clouds
not tears but flakes
like time frozen in air
bringing eyefuls of joy
to those who can see me
I'm the rain wetting the soil
for the seeds that hopefully grow
Into a beautiful sunflower
that will eventually die
leaving new seeds
for another very special vase.

Metaphor but also true we are all things some closer in space than others but all related. Where does one item end and another begin? Things that seem so clear are blurred as we examine more closely or distance ourselves. A most beautiful and philosophical poem what are our relationships, where do they begin and where do they end? Brilliant!!
