O’ London I miss you
you’re always in my dreams
and when I'm down hearted
bursting at the seams
I think of your heart
where fair I do roam
until such time
my heart will come home.

How memories of places we have lived can bring back emotions. Yet I found that I can never go home again for upon my return my home has changed and no longer is home to me. A most lovely write of longing for home put so elegantly in flowing poetry with good rhyme. Loved it
If I tell you I keep my laptop in my kitchen and the other day I was looking through prime videos and I found four weddings and a funeral, well it's been on constant as it has always been one of my fave films, my family do not understand why I love it so much especially Henry because he is only young, but it presents my entire life of London, it's exactly how I remember life, the humour and tragedy so yes, always brings back memories, I was born in London but much like you have two homes, and I'm so very proud always and yes sometimes I'm so homesick it hurts. Thank you dearest sorrenbarret I feel so very lucky to be able to share my thoughts in words with you dear Poet. 🌹
Now that is nostalgic and quite beautiful 🤩 🙏🏻🕊if I didn’t know my Melbourne poem just got trumped 😂👍🏻🕊
🤣🌹
the most important thing Teddy, is your heart still belongs to London, no matter where you are;
and your words show how much London misses you also....x
Thank you my dear friend Melvin, you always show up for me. 🌹 Yes London I could never get her out of me 🌹
Beautiful, sweet Teddy.
I used my poetic licence for the word heart,.I know I milked it 🤣 but any other word wouldn't have felt right thank you dearest Thomas. 🌹
May that heart in your life be forever with you to give you fine memories Teddy.
