Some Kind of Curious Something
I think it was while we were laying contented,
in two, conjoint heaps on
the top sheet, I first became aware of some kind
of curious something and nothing
that surely must have been us, sated and complete ..

What appears simple in this poem is far deeper hidden under sheets and blankets, maybe under the bed itself. A realization of what is the meaning of life. A complexity in a simplicity and isn't nature always so? Lovely Neville

Really?! You're certain of that? Pardon my inherent cheekiness, but I'll beg to differ, unless that is, you concur with the vanity plate my father bought reading: "2 R 1" or something like that. Nothing like a hot coal to burn one's fingertips for eagerness, but this pretty number sassily winks and flirts so much I fear I'm hard pressed to feel like I've not been rather naughty. Excellently rendered with perfect imagery and a deliciously haunting imagery. Thank you for sharing.

For some reason, I envision this scene being followed by a German Shepherd named, Jerry Lee, frolicking in grass after a limousine hookup with a French Poodle.
