In the very light of a magnificent sunrise
I reflect on the very reason we love?
and when we love
well, it's not always sunshine and strawberries is it?
sometimes the skies are yellow
and in a twist of fate
death can be the one true very cruel divider
love can be grief wrapped up in a bow
disguised as something that we think we crave?
we think we need and we hold onto
all the while being the very thing
that stops us from being who we really are
love, can take us to the top of a mountain
and it can also leave us under an avalanche
be it mud, rocks and even a whole forest
of trees perhaps?
painfully broken, suffocating, in the dark
but still in the world in which I live…
it is still love.

A recognition of the good and sad in even love but all is resolved in the last line where the decision is made to favor the good. A lovely write.
Thank you dearest sorrenbarret always such a pleasure to hear your words. 🌹
Well penned Teddy. 🌹
Isnt it always love that makes you hang your head
And isn't it always love that makes you cry
But isn't it always love that takes the tears away
And you wouldn't have it any other way" ~ Karla Bonoff
That's beautiful dear A.P and Karla Bonoff is correct. 🌹

Andy, excuse my tardiness, I will certainly go read. Thank you dear friend. 🌹
Love, is so much more than chocolates and roses and all good things. It can rock our world with sadness and despair, but we know when it is there. Lovely Teddy. So very poetically expressed. 💜🌹
