We just do not understand,
Our love for each other is so strong
And here we are both approaching,
Approaching eighty years old.
But our love is so wonderful,
We cannot be apart from each other.
Four years since I asked her,
Asked her out for coffee,
And now we are together,
Together as one.
Such a wonderful love we have
Never known anything like it.
I loved my wife for thirty eight years
And that love never failed,
Mary had her love too of many years
But he was taken from her.
They are both looking down,
Looking down on us from heaven
And they are with us with joy.
This new love is different,
And so very strong,
We will go on forever until that day,
That day when the four,
The four of us are together for eternity,
For eternity and beyond.

Again, something ahead of us and reachable, something to look forward to 🙏🏻🕊
A codgerly good write Gold. Are us two nearing 8 million years old?!
There is enough love for everyone. A most lovely thought
