Listen Loud Just One More Time

Listen Loud Just One More Time

He so wanted to tell her all over again,

just how much he loved her ..

Not only that, but he wanted to chant it

out loud, so the whole world

could hear him and in universal tongues ..

Indeed, all those words he once

dare only release, in near silent whispers

and left in the perfect shells

of both her pretty ears he so needed to shout

out just once more, but this time to

argue and to resonate like unanimous war drums ..

The subtlety in this piece nearly slipped past me. If he needs to shout and argue then he is not being heard and is that a cue war drums? Is the war with a competitor, her or himself? Often a whisper is heard more easily than a shout and peace talks might be in order. Another lovely subtle piece with so much packed within it. Like all good art it changes with ones mood.

Sometimes being subtle needs a bit of loud listening 🙏🏻🕊

Sometimes whispers are louded than shouts and vica versa, but that depend of who the war drums for, yourself or someone else, very interesting, relatable and enjoyable read

"listen loud", sometimes when you are conveying love, its so loud yet so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I think this is a wonderful piece, enjoyed reading!

Lemme guess, those shells were as calcified as the reference to conch suggested, right?! But he HAD to tell her because nothing was too good for whom he adored. Ah, but I'm well-nigh overcome until I can hardly breathe. Oh you and your skill! Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a captivating poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Layers this poem has…and the more one peels away, the more one gets the sense that what was once a source of hope and love has be one a source of strain. Relationships…in them, aren’t we all. Wonderful poem my friend!

So very beautifully rendered Neville, all the way down until those final two lines summoned the war drums. Purchased book number twelve recently, pleased to support your chosen charities. I have the full set now.
