From a seed I grew
and now I'm grown
I find, I have a hole in my soul
nothing in this world can fill it
my heart has a constant headache
my feet, they tap dance to the silence
silence and disbelief
of what this world has come too
and my eyes?
closed until further notice
well I'm trying not to open them
in hope
it is all a bad dream
at least when they are closed
I can see
the beautiful sunflower
that is me.

A great message Teddy. When we can not bear to see what is outside us of change what is around us change and focus on what is in us. A wonderful thought in this poem.
Thank you dearest sorrenbarret, of course you know me well. πΉ π» Humbled dear friend alway.
If you are afraid to open your eyes, then sleep longer so that you donβt see the hole in your tender soul so often. The best choice!
Thank you so much, in truth I'm a woman frightened of nothing. I dislike what I am seeing on our world stage, a bit of positivity is much needed for all. πΉ
Bravissimo!
Sometimes we just have to be with ourselves and realise we are ok as we are
A good writing teddy
And yeah things outside of us can upset us , at times ..
Thank you yes I'm rather reflecting on the outside looking in for comfort, thank you dear rose. πΉ
Dear Teddy, you are not alone. I too am wondering with a heavy heart what will come next, but today, the sky is blue and I am concentrating on the beauty in our world. There are flowers for everyone if they care to look. Staying positive. Thank you for your beautiful poetry. ππΉ
My dearest Cassie on our brief chat early I was inspired to write this, so thank you and yes, we must always look for that sunshine. πΉhope you've been pampered π
A sad but beautiful poem, Teddy! The whole world seems to be one big mess right now, with the wrong kind of people being elected to lead their countries! I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but we live id dangerous times!
You said it perfectly, far better than I can, I dread looking at the news now. Big hugs to you and Susan dear friend. Thank you πΉ
That beauty that is within you Teddy shines out through your words.
Andy
