Corporal B and Me

Corporal B and Me

Even though, we were both on the same side ..

Corporal B clearly hated me

and made my life a total misery for as long

as I knew him and believe me ..

Fourteen months is a long time indeed to be

hated and bullied by anyone ..

For what it’s worth, I began to crack in twelve ..

and think it may well have been

about the same time, he shoved me from the

back of a barrage balloon that

he first got to me and I began, to imagine all

   kinds of peculiar things ..

Like maybe, he didn’t care for me too much,

or when he threw me twice from

a reconditioned Andover troop training craft

   at thirteen thousand feet ..

Anyway, having thus spent his entire life as a

bully, perhaps no one would

blame me surely, for wiring his car to look like,

he was on some IRA cell, hit list ..

Ha, me and my mate Monty both got fifteen days

jankers, for that sweet pay back ..

But boy, was it worth it and get this folks, I bought

myself back into civvy street

pretty soon afterwards and although, I may not have

been that much of a real hero ..

All the lads back at flight HQ cheered and saluted me

while being marched off the premises ..

Some bullies need bullying more than those they bullied. Chalk one up for the good guys. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Corporal B was a pussy cat compared to that pathetic excuse for a person you got over there mate but thanks a billion .. Neville ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

He's under the misconception that he his a bully. He is the slime that crawled out from under a rock buried 10,000 years ago. He should be a fossil by now. But I think the devil resurrected his ass for trying to overthrow Heaven. And we both know how that will go. ๐Ÿคฃ

There are bullies in every walk of society but give them a uniform and it takes it to a different level, and this the worst kind of bullying, a captive audiance no escape, twenty four/seven, he probably got off likely with just the car stunt, enjoyed the read

A great story in poem format Neville. As a child from 6 to 12 was bullied by a neighbor. Until finally fought him in front of a school crowd and lost. But following this he came to me and asked to be my friend, He came to me for help with homework through high school. The standing up not the winning seems to be the issue in this poem as well. Although not at all the same the standing up is the key to how one feels about themselves and that is to me the key. When you feel good about yourself others will follow. A poem of raw openness

What a satisfying and positive outcome here Neville. Corporal B was a right mean bar steward. You though, deserved all the cheers and salutes you got from your mates. Did you ever see the 1965 version of The Hill? When I read your poem, my
mind drifted to that film, it also drifted to events earlier this week, well covered in the media. I smiled at your account of his car being wired up. Naughty, but very nicely done.

This one had been gnawing at me for more years than I care to recount .. it's not perfect by any means, but it is accurate .. No I have not seen the film you mention but will look into it .. Thank you Cassie .. Neville

Bullies do get their comeuppance in time Neville.

                              • Cheeky Missy

For all the movies which culled our hearty laughter, you've handily rendered the same in a tidy little pretty number which conjures images aplenty, sitting here daintily on the blank page. Gorgeous and deliciously rendered with delightful imagery and a rather disturbing poignancy. Thank you so very much for sharing. You, oh you!

Many thanks for visiting this little scribble Missy .. I still occasionally get the odd flashback back to circa 19 something .. Neville
