one of my oldest friends
on the bus
actually he is in his Seventies
a gentleman
I've had the pleasure to know
for many years
he once shared with me
that hidden deep within his wallet there's a concert ticket of the Beatles
a concert he went to
in Rome in 1975
he showed it to me
in the middle of a shop once
I was truly humbled
It almost brought tears to my eyes
I mean how cool is that?
A ticket that's more than forty five years old still intact and of a concert of the Beatles?
we are very good friends
we talk about everything
from politics and music, to the weather
but even after all these years...
I still don't know his name.

A concert ticket of memories carried with us. A friend familiar that we do not know the name of even after nearly a lifetime of knowing them. Such a great metaphor for our inner self that carries memories of fondness and whom though we love we do not know well enough to know the name of. Such a lovely metaphor intended or not it stood out like an old friend in the dark.
Thank you so much dearest sorrenbarret 🌹 I hope you found a mountain of inspiration 💜
A fine write, Teddy. I have experienced that. My mind feels guilty for not knowing, my heart doesn't give a damm he is my friend.
Yes, you have never gone through menopause dear Jerry lol 💜
Very cool, sweet Teddy. It's the little things that can really make an impact.
They really can, but to hold a used ticket of the Beatles in a coop in the middle of Tuscany 47 years old is a first for me. 🌹
Wonderful how you can get close to people whom you meet day to day, doing the ordinary. What a lovely share Teddy. My brother and I saw the Beatles at the Astoria in Highgate. It has been one of the highlights of my younger years. Didn’t keep the ticket stubbs though. One of my neighbours I called George for years, a couple of years ago he told me his name is Hugh😂. It happens. Have a lovely weekend 🌹💜
lol oh that's hilarious Hugh 🤣 awe thank you dearest Cassie, as you well.know names are harder to learn and remember in another language, Luciano I will never forget thank you dear friend ❤️
Great story Teddy, it is amazing how you can make good friends with strangers.
Andy
It surely is, he isn't well now so I see him very little but when I do it makes my day. 🌹 Thank you dear Andy 💜
