Is Peace Just a Fantasy.
In a world that is continuously screaming out for peace.
Where millions of people want somewhere safe to sleep.
Fresh blood continues to flow freely down those streets.
Death, Hunger, Drought, Poverty completes their misery.
In today’s world can true peace permanently be achieved.
It never has happened in the annuals of the world's history.
The pages of books are splattered with blood stains of life.
Never been a time when someone does not want to fight.
Those who will always thrive and survive on the thrill of killing.
The many sheep who follow the leader who are just as willing.
Craving for power and money that turns their hearts to stone.
Body counts continue to rise as they ascend to their Thrones.
The preservation of life means nothing to a true man of greed.
Just the path of devastation and destruction to fulfil their needs.
Under many banners these bastards will try to justify and hide.
Yet at the end of the day for them power on control is always more important than life.
The world is full of Aggressors, killers, Dictators and Bloody lunatics.
Hell bent on War, Division, Hatred, Power and Control until their dying breath.
So is wanting and achieving sustainable peace now an unrealistic hopeless fantasy.
Has the world gone too far now and true peace can never be a reality.

It appears that violence is part of the human DNA and greed as well. It is what fuels the economy as well as war. Peace was a nice thought too bad it didn't work out. A poem that leaves a dark feeling and one too realistic I'm afraid. Nicely said

Perhaps there will never be real peace until the sword of Manjushri is turned inwards. By everyone.

I fear that mankind as a species is unable to live in peace.
But I still hope that someday I will be proven wrong.
Thank you for your feedback, very much appreciated
well written ,your poem is likely written to provoke thought and inspire awareness about the harsh realities of the world, urging readers to reflect on the cyclical nature of violence and the elusive nature of peace. It challenges the notion that true peace can ever be achieved, given humanity's historical context and present-day realities

Mmm... what we fail to recognize in the face of such an insidious reality is how lacking we are of the most essential on that score: peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Had men THAT, yes, all, there would be peace methinks. With the internal struggle alive, or seemingly quelled by the devouring of mankind our neighbors, and the world entirely itself, how can there possibly be peace? They say, "Misery loves company;" and I see it night and day, trying to foist itself upon me that I'd join it. I'd rather not. But enough. Gorgeously eloquent and excellently rendered with superb imagery and a fitly haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe one day there will be more peace .. hope so anyway
Hopefully, thank you for your feedback, have a great week
As things currently are...FOR SURE. And what does true peace look like? It seems to me everyone's idea of what peace exactly is differs, which then sets up conflict, ironically. At the same time, I do believe in and strive for peace. How complicated of me! π€£ We humans really are complex, no? Anywho, wonderfully though-provoking write on this St. Patrick's Day friend. And, I do believe your poem fits with the day in this way: as St. Patrick peacefully spread his faith only for the church to take over behind him and undo much of what he set up and, to make matter's worse, the dude is only remembered for green beer and snakes. All of this to question, can peace really be attained, when one can work for peace only to have it completely undone in one fell swoop. Anywho, a very thought-provoking and wonderful write, TobanI! πΉπβοΈπ©βοΈ
