Spring's Wish

Teddy.15

Oh, how I long for the whiteness
of a cold room
how I wish not to see the daffodils
of warm yellow sun
and how I prefer not to see
the tulips of April's spring

silence in eyes and ears
is how I long to be

no thoughts, no anger, just me

upon my reflections
of one peaceful moment

oh, how I do wish
I could simply lose
the colours from within...

just to be me, even for a single breath.

There is a sense in this poem of being overwhelmed by colors and stimulation of the world around us and desiring solitude, isolation from all those things that overstimulate the mind. I have been there as well and sometimes just closing ones eyes and ears is not enough. A poem well expressed.

The world is very colourful right now dear sorrenbarret 🤣 I've been inspired by Plath, as the sun rises here in Italy the days are incredibly bright, it sure does make one smile. Thank you dear friend 💖

Those peaceful moments are so important in our lives Teddy but I could not live without colour in my life.
