Notice of absence from arqios

π ππ» see you all in June! ππ»ποΈ
there was a time
when thoughts
were pencilled in
by flashlight or nightlight
well after the house
has shut down for the night
there was a time
when poems
were extensions
of one's hopes and dreams
by words coloured in -
imagination reigned supreme
there came a time
when typing in
on keyboards and touch screens
cursors blipping and
message alarms beeping -
our faces twitting in online spaces
there'll come a time
when our souls
after having been
stripped and laid bare
shall seek their worlds once more
in the humble printed word

Shall we return to our past? At times I wish it so, at others I would not for anything relive it. I remember well the times of pencil and paper, ink that could not be altered and paper copy. Maybe some day a solar flare with erase all our cloud history and we will start anew. Great write Cryptic
Thanks Soren, true. My fingers really hurt writing long hand βοΈ
I think this makes a profound point about writing. It can be seen as eternal life because writing preserves the soul.Great poem made me think
Preserving the soul allows the memories to live on, and thatβs fine with meππ»ποΈ
What are the oddsβ¦
Our memory lingers in our words and future travelers should they discover them and take the time to open the chest⦠peer for a moment into our soul. Well written and well said. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you too for sharing your thoughts which are valued and appreciated much ππ»ποΈ
A powerful write. Writing has been a recorder and preserver of my soul, so this rings very true to me. It's funny, because I see you wrote this in "long hand". The poem I published today was written in long hand, along with another one! Yes, the fingers are not so used to that anymore, though I love the practice! π€£ Well done on this, my friend! ππΉ
Tapping on a touchscreen is even easier than writing with a digital pen ποΈππ»ποΈquite a journeyππ»ποΈ
True...though, I tend to be all thumbs! π€£ Indeed, it is my friend.
Oh thatβs an early 2000s move, when SMS was all the rave. ππ»π
LOL! Indeed! π€£
That printed words will bring wonder tom us all arqios.

Hereβs to wide-eyed wonder πππ»π€©
