I am always with you,
You cannot live without me.
Those first tentative cries
When you leave your mother’s womb,
Signal that I am there.
Throughout your life
I come in various guises,
Within the soft gentleness of sleep,
The gasps of wonder at the beauty in the world,
The rapidness during exertion and exhaustion.
There then comes the time
When your end in this world arrives,
And at your last breath,
You finally exhale me for the final time,
As I am the air that you breathe.

The music takes me back to those days. Being somebody’s air and theirs yours, majestic🕊🙏🏻
Thank you arqios, those days were wonderful.

That they were! You’re welcome Andy🙏🏻🕊️
Good write gold. You tried that test - try not breathing for 24 hours, to save some air? I tried it. I survived, but didn't feel well after it. LOL.
Or more likely - I should try not spouting hot air for 24 hours.
Just keep breathing Orchi and all will be fine.

It certainly is David, it is something we all need.

I often wonder how life would be if the proportion of oxygen and nitrogen were different in our atmosphere, would it have evolved differently or not be here at all. A wonderful poem Andy about gratitude for the smallest things constantly taken for granted. Very nicely done
Very true soren but we are all still here. Thank you.
Andy
